From one building to a dynamic living space.

This project was about unlocking potential. Not by adding square meters, but by reimagining what was already there.

A single design language ties the spaces together: clean lines, warm wood, and measured contrasts. The owner, a florist with a flair for bold choices, wanted his home to express that while remaining balanced. His apartment blends vivid wallpaper with custom furniture. The other spaces remain calm, open to future guests and new stories.

This was a layered project. One that asked for care, strategy, and empathy. And in the end, it found its balance between character and neutrality, structure and lightness.

Project Highlights

Transformed a single-family home into three distinct areas: a studio in the former garage, a private residence, and two compact units for short stays.
Each space has its own entrance and rhythm, working independently yet connected, ready to unite if needed.
Garage façade redesigned with patterned wooden cladding, reflecting the interior palette and creating subtle coherence

Design as Strategy

Maximizing potential: Flexible spaces serve multiple functions, increasing the building’s overall usability and income. The renovation balanced value and cost through smart design choices, like consistent materials and stacked bathrooms that kept expenses low.
The layout: The new arrangement supports stable rental income from multiple sources while preserving a private, comfortable home for the owner.
